This Grandparents Day, tell them about the Medicare prescription drug plan and about the extra help they may be able to get through Social Security. You’ll be doing more than just giving them some advice. You could be saving them as much as $3,600 each per year.

When kids fall, they may only get a scratch or two. Unfortunately, it’s not so simple for Seniors. For them, one fall can cause a severe injury or mean the end of independent living. And for one in three Seniors in America, it can lead to permanent disability or death.

The concert was a great success. Everyone went home happy. However, the next thing we heard was that Miranda was in the hospital. It seems that they had to amputate her foot. She had advanced diabetes and because she was poor and without transportation, she had poor medical care. She had already lost her vision. After she got home, I brought her some food and we visited. It was then that I learned the awful truth. It seems that her foot was black with gangrene. When she got to the doctor, he admonished her for not telling him that it was black. Yet another indicates that women 65-75 who have a good relationship with their pet are more likely to have a closer relationship with their spouse, and more likely to be happy.

Like most of us, I work to make a living, but at my age I do consider the life I could lead after retirement. I don’t have time to think about it much, because I realize I might need to work for longer than I expected 10 years ago. We’ve all noticed more aging people in the workplace, and there are a number of reasons why.
