  • 50% of all credit cards in this country are owned by people 50 and older
  • At age 50:  80% have at least one living parent and 27% have both living parents
  • Ages 50-64:  70% are not retired; 15% are retired and working; only 15% are completely retired
  • Ages 65+:  21% are not retired; 25% are retired and working; 54% are retired
  • 70% of all Money Market Accounts and Certificates of Deposit are held by those 50 and older
